THE MONASTERY WISHES TO EXPRESS ITS EXTREEME SADNESS OVER THE HORRIFING EVENTS IN THE UKRAINE AND TO OFFER CONSTANT PRAYERS FOR THIS WAR TO END. THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION FOR SUCH BLOOD SHED AND FIGHTING BROTHER AGAINST BROTHER. THIS IS AGAINST EVERYTHING THE GOSPEL STANDS FOR.
WE PRAY SINCERELY FOR THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE AND THE UKRAINIAN ORTHODOX CHURCH.
GOD FORGIVE AND HAVE MERCY ON US ALL AND AN END TO THIS DEVISTATING CATASTROPHY.
TO THE FAITHFUL OF ST. SABBAS MONASTERY
AFTER A VERY SHORT VISIT THIS PAST WEEK TO THE HOLY CITY, IT IS WITH SADNESS THAT I EXPERIENCED THE DIFFICULTIES
THAT THE MOTHER CHURCH HAS HUMBLY ENCOUNTERED DURING THE COVID EPIDEMIC.
THEY NEED OUR SACRIFICIAL HELP!
I AM ASKING THOSE WHO ARE ABLE TO SUPPORT THIS FUND RAISING CAUSE.
I WOULD LIKE TO RAISE MINIMUM OF $25,000 BEFORE PASCHA FOR THE MONASTERIES.
PLEASE HELP
Christ is risen!
Pascha afternoon I laid down for a bit of a rest and when I woke up I found this wonderful Pascha surprise on my telephone. I wish to share it with all of you. It was a greeting from His Beatitude the Holy Patriarch Of Jerusalem. Sharing the joy of the Pascha light and acknowledging our hard work and struggle to keep the monastery open for the people and the light of Christ to shine brightly through the Holy Sacraments!
Christ is risen!
